Feature film project Milo wins Kodak NPP Development Prize
Director and script writing duo
Berend and
Roel Boorsma (Script Development Programme 2006 / Directors Coaching Programme 2007) and producer
San Fu Maltha won the
Kodak NPP Development Prize at the Netherlands Production Platform (NPP) for their project
Milo.
The jury, Sonja Heinen (Head of Berlinale Co-production Market), Louis Machado (Country manager / Kodak Cinema & Television), Marten Rabarts (artistic director Binger Filmlab) and Frans Afman (Chairman of the Board, Netherlands Film Festival), awarded this project because of
‘[the] audacious and original premise which exposes the rocky foundations of a fragile family held together by secrets, denial and a domestic conspiracy to create a perfect child in a perfect world.’ Kodak sponsors the
NPP Development Prize (5,000 Euro) with the aim of facilitating further financial development of the new project. The NPP is part of the Holland Film Meeting, organised by the Netherlands Film Festival for the 20th time until Monday 1 October. This year, nine Dutch and thirteen European feature film projects in development were presented to a panel of international producers and financiers.
