Binger at Rialto Laat

For the second time in a year the Binger Filmlab proudly presents The Binger Late Night screenings in collaboration with Rialto, one of the finest art house cinemas in Amsterdam.

During four editions of Rialto Laat (Rialto Late Night) in May the audience can see diverse films by national and international filmmakers who are working on projects at Binger now or in the recent past. Not only can they see past films but also have the chance to meet the filmmakers, as most of them will be present at the screenings.

The programme starts on May 4 with the screening of eight short films of filmmakers that currently follow the Directors Coaching Programme at Binger. Dutch film critic René Mioch will moderate a discussion around their projects. A week later the documentary The Devil's Playground by Lucy Walker will be shown. Binger filmmaker Daniel Kern was responsible for the photography of this award winning documentary. Another feature will be shown on May 18, the successful German film Fickende Fische by Almut Getto. After the screenings Kern and Getto will be interviewed by Amsterdam based Australian writer Matthew Curlewis. The programme will conclude on May 25 with the screening of six new shorts of filmmakers who have developed work at Binger over the past few years. This time Binger Filmlab director Ido Abram, will do the introductions and Q&A. The programme is as follows:
