Writers Lab
Profile applicants: Writers LabWriters applying for this programme are expected to have professional experience in
writing in any of the following forms; film, television, advertising,
theatre, documentary, journalism, literature/publishing. And/or
extensive professional experience in the film and television
development and/or production.
It is also important that
applicants are able to demonstrate that they are applying to the Binger
at an appropriate stage in their career. They need to be at a point
where they have a sense of having found their "voice". They should be
looking for skills and techniques for developing their projects and
ideas rather than at a stage of still looking for what interests or
motivates them.
Projects submitted for development on the programme should demonstrate the following:
- a coherent interesting/original story with a(potentially) strong narrative
- accessibility to an audience
- relevance
