Selection Procedure

The selection procedure of our core labs takes place in two stages: a meeting of the international selection committee followed by an interview with short-listed applicants. This procedure takes place between 6 to 8 weeks from the application deadline, and shortlisted applicants are advised as to the outcome within 5 working days of their final interview.

For A la Carte Workshops and Events the selection is based on motivation and CV. Some are on invitation only.

Scholarship

The fee for the upcoming Writers Lab 2012 is € 3500,- for writers and creative producers.

A limited number of scholarships - i.e. fee waivers - are awarded on selection basis to those participants not supported by national funds, who would otherwise be unable to attend the lab. A motivation for scholarship should be submitted together with the application.

Please note: when applying for a scholarship, the applicant's expected gross annual income 2012 may not exceed € 22.000 (in total and inclusive of the scholarship); writers and writer/directors have priority.

An Artist-in-Residence program is available for a limited number of selected participants of our lab.

DocuCoach (all year through)
Application: the DocuCoach is currently fully booked. We hope to open applications soon.
Costs: Sessions with the DocuCoach are fully subsidised by the Ministry of OCW and are offered without fee to accepted filmmakers
