Creative Producers Lab
Fall 2013
This lab is fully integrated in the Writers Lab and concentrates on script development, working with talent and profiling and orientation in the international marketplace. We encourage producers with projects in development at Binger to join their writer or director en route and reshape their actual working practice in parallel with the Binger process.
The producers attending the lab learn to refine their script development skills and to increase their knowledge of and contacts within the international film industry. To this end, producers participate in an intensive program at CineMart of The International Film Festival Rotterdam.
It is possible to attend the Creative Producers Lab:
*as a producer with a project i.e. participating in the lab with a writer engaged in the Writers Lab
*as a producer without a project who participates in the lab to develop his/her skills in working with writers and directors while enhancing understandings of dramatic forms, style and structure.
Profile applicants
Applicants applying as producers are expected to have professional experience in film, television, advertising, theatre and/or documentary.
It is most important that applicants are able to demonstrate that they are applying to the Binger at an appropriate stage in their career. They should be looking for skills, tools and techniques for developing their projects and future productions.
